Strong participation and great enthusiasm at the National Short Film Competition Awards Ceremony

The Awards Ceremony of the 3rd National Short Film Competition for Children and Youth took place with great success on Sunday, 19 April at K Cineplex Prime in Strovolos, in the presence of participants, educators, parents and film lovers, as part of the International Festival Cyprus Film Days 2026. The venue was filled to capacity, with young creators from across Cyprus attending a vibrant celebration of filmmaking, where the awarded films were screened, highlighting the high standard of this year’s submissions. The competition, now firmly established as a dynamic platform for cinematic expression for the younger generation, once again showcased the creativity, imagination and strong desire of children and young people to tell their own stories through film. Dot.on.the.Map Ιndustry Days, the co-production, training and networking platform for film industry professionals of the 24th Cyprus Film Days IF, will hold its 7th edition in Limassol, Cyprus (23 – 25 April, 2026), and announces the ten selected projects to pitch in its co-production forum, Dot.on.the.Map Meeting Point.
