
Danae Stylianou
Danae Stylianou is a documentary producer and director based in Cyprus. She graduated from the University of Westminster in 2004 in Film Production. Her filmography includes short films and 4 documentary features: Skammata (2024), Birth Days (2018), A Haircut Story (2014) and Sharing an island (2011). Danae produces and directs independent documentaries and commissioned factual audiovisual content for NGOS, educational platforms, artists and governmental bodies, such as the Press and Information Office of Cyprus, the Cyprus Department of Antiquities, the Cyprus University of Technology, the Cyprus National Commission for UNESCO, United World Colleges and others. She worked for more than 15 years as a casting director for cinema and television in Greece and Cyprus. Since 2012, she has been on the organising team of the three major, state-funded film festivals of Cyprus -Cyprus Film Days IF (2012-), Lemesos International Documentary Festival (2012-) and the International Short Film Festival of Cyprus (2012 – 2021). In 2020, she was appointed head of Dot.on.the.Map Industry Days – the industry platform of Cyprus Film Days IF.
