We see the world through our cameras, transforming every moment into an image and a story. However, filmmaking is not merely the act of recording reality—it is the art of seeing beyond the obvious, composing, lighting, and narrating. What happens when we choose to change the shooting angle, experiment with framing, light, and camera movement? We immediately gain a new perspective, exploring the narrative possibilities of cinematography and discovering our own directorial voice.

Now in its fourth year, this workshop—launched in 2022 by Athena Xenidou in collaboration with Stavros Pampallis—invites teenagers to take on filmmaking responsibilities. From screenwriting and creative role distribution (directing, acting, cinematography, lighting) to handling equipment and shooting techniques, participants will immerse themselves in the world of filmmaking.
